​​KickStart Swim School was founded to bring the joy and confidence of mastering a skill to anyone ready to learn. But swimming is no ordinary competence - it is critical to ensuring a lifetime of safety any time one is around water. Especially in beautiful Ontario where the crushing heat of summer is best relieved by a refreshing dip in a local lake or pool.

Relating in a personal way to the younger swimmers I focus on teaching, I firmly believe that the first step to making progress is to establish trust. My students will come to see me as their guide and mentor - someone whose focus on their needs is first and foremost.

Kickstart Swim School is also very proud to work with kids on the autism spectrum who may offer challenges that some instructors may not be willing to embrace.
At our core is patience, understanding and empathy to ensure our students can proceed at a pace that suits their needs. Broadly speaking, learning is a lifelong process and we continue to learn and develop best practices to reach any swimmer at any stage.
My Story
I am a high school student in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Dr. G.W. Williams in Aurora. This program is designed to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people.
My commitment to this advanced academic program reflects my passion for self-improvement and focus on helping others elevate themselves. By the age of 15, I had secured my National Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Certification (Pool) with Bronze Cross and First Aid as prerequisites.

I was born into an adventurous family and have been privileged to be exposed to all sorts of athletic endeavours. In addition to being a strong swimmer, I am an avid cyclist who competes at a provincial level and an enthusiastic skier who dreams of hitting Whistler in winter.
​
My goal was to leverage our amazing at-home facility and my empathetic nature to create the ultimate swim school for residents of York Region - including Richmond Hill, Aurora, Newmarket, Sharon, Holland Landing, Bradford, Mount Albert, and Georgina.
